Prayer Wall

6/22/10

Dear Team of Intercessors:

We hope you are doing well.  Thank you for praying for our meeting
with the Head Teacher at the local primary school.  Our meeting went
very well.  She is lovely and we like the school a lot.  The boys
started last week and are getting to go for the final few weeks of the
term in hopes of getting familiar with the routine and meeting some of
their classmates.  They have all done very well so far and being a
part of the school has been a natural connection to the community, for
which we are thankful.  Thank you again for praying for them and us.

We are settling into the routine of living at Stanely House, the
Paisley YWAM base, and are starting to relax a bit into the rhythm of
life.  Corbin began his DTS last week as well.

So here is how you can pray for us these days:

1.  Strength and health, especially for Corbin, as he (and we) keep a
very full, tight schedule each week.

2.  Grace for the kids as they continue to make the huge adjustment to
being in school in another culture.  Pray they will be lights in the
world.

3.  Pray for us to walk above the depression and hopelessness that is
so prevalent here in Paisley.  It is a lovely place, with a godly
heritage.  But all of that is covered up by quite a few layers of
despair, frustration, and aimlessness.  As His children, we get many
opportunities to shine in the darkness around us everyday.

4.  Strength, protection and blessing for Corbin and his class as they
take their big hike for DTS.  It is a 4 1/2 day, 62.5 mile trek and
camping trip along St. Cuthbert's Way to Lindesfarne, Holy Island,
where St. Aidan founded a monastic community in the 7th century and
converted much of the pagan Anglo-Saxons to Christianity.  It should
prove to be an amazing experience.  They will be gone the 25th of June
through the 3rd of July.  And pray for the kids and I as we stay
behind at the house while the kids finish up the school year.

5.  Please take some time over the next few weeks to ask God about
what he is wanting to do in/with us in this season.  We are being
physically, spiritually, and emotionally challenged by the new demands
we are facing.  As a result, we are seeing the need to mobilize our
team of intercessors (that would be you) to be used more strategically
in our lives and for advancing the Kingdom in this place.  We will
following up more on this in the months ahead, but please give us any
feedback God is sharing with you about us or Scotland.

Thank you for your time and commitment to pray.  We need the support
very much and are honored to labor with you.

Sincerely,
Stacy and Corbin

I just returned from three weeks of ministry in Thailand with my step-son Nathan Johnson
. As many of you know Trish was not able to travel with me since she is still recovering from a serious illness. I want to thank many of you who have been praying for her recovery. In recent days we seem to have had a breakthrough and we are seeing improvement. I believe she will be fully recovered and able to go on our next trip.

Your browser may not support display of this image.    The purpose of this trip was two-fold. First was to connect with the church there for prophetic and healing ministry as well as equipping the believers to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. For the Spirit filled believer signs, wonders and miracles are the “normal” Christian life. We had several opportunities to preach, teach and pray for the sick. We saw dozens healed and saved. Two healings stand out. First was a quadriplegic named “Arise” who, after three hours of prayer, began to regain feeling and movement in both her hands and feet! We have since received a report that she is improving daily! Another was a 74 year old woman who could barely walk because of bad knees. As God touched her she began to dance and sing to the Lord. The night before she was in such pain and despair that she prayed for the Lord to take her home. She no longer felt she was of any use to the church. Later she said to me “I guess God has more for me to do here.” Praise God! We have received invitations to return and minister the love and power of God. We also participated in Global Awakening (Randy Clark) meetings in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

The other purpose was to take the next steps in establishing a safe home for children who are at risk of being “trafficked” or have been rescued from human trafficking and sexual slavery. As unimaginable as it is this is true of children as young as four and five years old! We are partnering with Bangkok Liberty Church to set up such a home. We plan to launch this home and take in our first children by October of this year. In the initial phase we will have only one home and care for 10 children ages 4 to 10. Our desire is to rescue, raise-up, train and release a generation of young people in Thailand who know their God and can do “exploits” for the Kingdom of God! The foundation of God’s throne is “righteousness and justice”. Biblical justice demands that we defend those who cannot defend themselves. Remember that these children are not statistics. They have faces. They are God’s creation with Divine callings and destinies that need to be restored to them. Every number has a face. Below are some points worth pondering!

Pastor John Christenson is one of our River Pastors.
He has shared the following....

On 1/20/10, Kenny stayed home from school with the flu. At 5 am on 1/21, his parents rushed him the ER because he had gotten much worse. He has pneumonia and a respiratory virus called RSV
"My 17 yr old son, Kenny, is on life support in the ICU @ Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara, CA fighting a very serious case of pneumonia. He has been fighting this now for the last four days, and we are asking everyone with FAITH to PRAY.".

As of 1/24 @ 1:50 pm, Kenny is still at the Santa Clara Kaiser ICU. He is on life support and is in a drug induced sleep in order to make him as comfortable as possible so that he can best fight the infection that is in his body.

His blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation levels have stablilized, and they have been able to slowly cut back on the amount of medicine they have been giving him designed to keep his blood pressure up because it was so low. His temperature slightly above normal, and we are very thankful for that. The doctors are still "guardedly optimistic" about his condition and have said that he has NOT yet turned any corners, although he has made some slow progress in the right direction. Last night they started giving him nutrition through the IV to give him strength and bolster his immune system. He is receiving additional oxygenated blood.

We give God ALL the praise for His goodness to our son during this time. We also give the Kaiser Dr's, nurses and staff the HIGHEST praise for their professionalism, expertise, care and concern for Kenny and for their graciousness to our family.

We are bathing Kenny's room with much prayer, worship and declaring God's Word of healing over him.

Prayer request for Lamar Junkins -

Lamar needs for his blood to get built back up. He is anemic and we can't give him the iron his blood needs because of an infection still in his foot. Infections tend to feed off of iron. So supernaturally God can supply the iron AND get rid of the infection. His spirits are a little low also because he is just so tired of being sick and having no energy. He is better than he was but he is so ready to be back to doing and being what God has called him to do and that is to pastor our flock! Thanks for your concern and prayers, they are greatly appreciated.

Rich, I wanted to let you know. After Lindy prayed for me yesterday, I was healed of the Ulcerative Colitis. I felt God restore my intestinal tract completely. Praise the Lord!

Hola a todos...

We are writing to ask for some prayer support for some situations here in Mallorca.  The people mentioned below in points 1 & 2 don't have an obvious faith, but it is very evident that God is working through them and in them.  We are praying for healings, miracles and the supernatural to break out here.  We always appreciate knowing that we are not alone here, and that we have an army of prayers behind us.

1.     Spain_outline_1.jpgThe mother of a girl who has befriended us is dying of cancer.  Rachel was able to encourage our friend with some scriptures yesterday, and we offered any other practical help (cleaning, cooking, etc) we could.  Our friend has said that she would like us to meet her mother, which may also present an opportunity for prayer and healing.

2.     A married couple who have been very kind to us and have become good friends are unable to have children.  This situation has resulted in a terrible strain on their marriage, which seems to be held together by a string.  The man in particular is Mallorquin and a person of peace on the island who has welcomed us here. We have been an encouragement to them, but we want to see a miracle!

3.     Jobs and finance.  We have been unable to find more part time work and are currently completely relying on support from friends, which is half of what we need. Despite this, every month the rent and bills have been paid!  Unemployment has hit 19% and statistics in today's paper showed that there is a 25% downturn in part time jobs this summer compared to last.

4.     Over the past 7 months Rachel has been regularly suffering with an infection that comes.  She may need to visit the UK for more tests.

5.     Language. This is always the big one.  There is a big limitation on what we can do here without making tremendous progress in learning Spanish.  After sitting a placement test, we have been accepted to the Official Language School in Palma.  However, we found out last week that after a random selection, we along with all other last names beginning with "N,O & P's" have been put on the waiting list.  Please pray we are able to get a place, as this will help us tremendously.  The course runs from Sept - June.  As it is solely available for residents, the course is available for a small fraction of the cost compared to a private language course.

100_9176.JPGListen, far-flung islands, pay attention, faraway people: GOD put me to work from the day I was born. The moment I entered the world he named me. GOD also says: "When the time's ripe, I answer you. When victory's due, I help you. I form you and use you to reconnect the people with me, To put the land in order, to resettle families on the ruined properties. I tell prisoners, 'Come on out. You're free!' and those huddled in fear, 'It's all right. It's safe now.' There'll be foodstands along all the roads, picnics on all the hills-- Nobody hungry, nobody thirsty, shade from the sun, shelter from the wind, For the Compassionate One guides them, takes them to the best springs. I'll make all my mountains into roads, turn them into a superhighway. Look: These coming from far countries, and those, out of the north, These streaming in from the west, and those from all the way down the Nile!" Heavens, raise the roof! Earth, wake the dead! Mountains, send up cheers! GOD has comforted his people. He has tenderly nursed his beaten-up, beaten-down people. Isaiah 49.

Muchas Gracias a todos!

Kyle & Rachel

PRAYER REQUEST FROM BILL AND CAROL DEW----

Dear Friends,

We would appreciate your prayers.  We have told our team to have their intercessors to start praying for them, so I guess it seems only logical to have our team hold us up in prayer.

Monday we leave for Bethel Church in Redding for the Advance, where we'll be for  2 days.  Then we return home to pack and on Thursday lead 22 people on a missions trip to Fortaleza Brazil, beginning ministry in 3 different churches on Friday the 8th.  We return home Friday night the 15th.  Please pray for :

** Travelling mercies, team unity beginning, no lost luggage, that it would all get to Fortaleza with us, and that God would begin using us on the trip down.
** A special closeness to Holy Spirit, to hear His words and be able to carry them out.  That God would use us all powerfuly for signs and wonders.  That we would literally step into the Glory and see miracles -- and that this would be imparted to those attending the meetings.
** Good health, peace, rest, unity, and fun for the whole team.
** Favor with the pastors and people in this city we've been to twice before.  That we would be sensitive to their agenda and how we can best serve them.

As  the Lord brings us to your mind over the next 12 days or so, we would appreciate your "bullet prayers."  Thanks, and as always, if you get anything for us, we'd love to hear from you.  Blessings.

Many of you know that we have been back in the US, as we are waiting for the completion of the process for us to become an Institute in Brazil. In order to become an Institute our team must rent a building for the School of Ministry. Our team has found the perfect building, it is two story, the ground floor would seat about 100 people for a school, upstairs there are classrooms and there is a small house attached. In order to rent any building in Brazil you must have a "guarantor", who pledges that the lease payments are made. It can be an individual who is a property owner in the city where we are leasing the property, or it can be a company who provides "insurance" as the guarantor. Our team is having difficulty finding someone to be the guarantor because their personal assets and income are not enough for the amount of the lease. They continue to look but the cost of the "insurance" will be higher.

Please pray for a breakthrough for a "guarantor" for the building, so we can be an Institute and return to Brazil.

Blessings!

Ron & Christine
